6.1.2 The Clist Class

The Clist is the main object used in SSDM for all our collection needs. It supports all the oprations and attributes of a collection and has the extra advantage of being serializable. As you can see in the diagram bellow a CList is an extented arraylist. It implements 2 additional interfaces. The ISList which is an extention of the IList interface that a common Arraylist supports and the IDisposable. The IDisposable interface provides the .Dispose method that can be used to Dispose the objects inside the CList that implement IDisposable, thus taking care of the disposing of any objects with unmanaged resources in a CList.
